The Federation of Student Islamic Societies hosted its 53rd Annual Conference at Manchester University where it elected its new leadership for 2016/2017. Student delegates came from across the UK & Eire to elect its new National Executive Committee (NEC) and have voted Zara Mohammed to be its new president.

Upon her appointment she said: 'It is truly an incredible privilege to be elected as the next FOSIS President. I am excited to be working alongside such a diverse and talented NEC and look forward to carrying on the work to build a bright future for Muslim Students in the UK & Ireland'.
