Today many thousands of Muslim students learn of their A-Level results and prepare to start a new chapter in their life as they head to University in September. FOSIS congratulate and celebrate the continued success of Muslim students and look forward to welcoming them to the family of Islamic Societies across the UK, who will facilitate their further success and excellence.
Just as pursuing further and higher education helps to create prosperity for many families, so too does it provide an opportunity for the Muslim community to give back to the wider Society. For this reason, Muslim students starting University in September should have high aspirations, considering how they could use their degree and the skills it gives them to be a benefit to humanity.
FOSIS President Zara Mohammad said: “I would like to wish everyone receiving their A-Level results today the best of success, and hope to see the next generation of talent joining their Islamic Societies to make a positive impact on their campus community.
University life is a milestone in a young person’s life, and although challenging at times, is a huge opportunity for growth. I encourage all students to not only work hard, but to make new friends from all walks of life, step out of their comfort zone to try new experiences, and become an independent, dynamic individual who is an asset to their family, community and society.”
